Prepare Estimate

Our Estimator will inspect your vehicle and begin to document the damage caused by the collision in the form of an estimate. In some cases, you may already have a preliminary estimate of this damage prepared by your insurance company. In any event, this step must be accomplished prior to beginning the repair process

Repair Authorization

Before any work can begin, you must first sign a repair authorization allowing us to repair your vehicle. At this time it is not unusual for our Estimator to request another signature in advance to cover any additional damage that may be found once the repair is underway.

Insurance Approval

The insurance company that is involved must also approve the repair estimate before we can begin work.

Parts Ordered

Upon receiving approvals from you and the insurance company, we will begin the process of locating and ordering the parts necessary to repair your vehicle.

Parts Received

Once all required parts have arrived and been verified for accuracy and quality, we will schedule your vehicle for repair. This ensures that the repair process moves forward smoothly without unnecessary delays or interruptions.

Scheduled for Repairs

Once all approvals are in place, we will contact you to schedule a convenient time for your vehicle to be repaired. If your vehicle is already at our repair center, it may be eligible for immediate scheduling and can move into the repair process without delay.

Dissembled and Re-inspected

As your vehicle’s exterior panels are removed and the underlying structure becomes visible, it’s common for additional or “hidden” damage to be discovered. This type of damage cannot always be identified during the initial estimate because it is concealed behind panels, components, or impact‑affected areas.

Supplement Approved

Any additional or hidden damage identified during the teardown process must be reviewed and authorized by your insurance company before we can continue with the repair. This ensures all necessary work is properly approved and documented, preventing delays and maintaining a smooth repair process.

Additional Parts Ordered

If additional damage is discovered during the teardown process, we must repeat Steps 2, 3, and 4 to properly document the findings, obtain insurance approval, and secure authorization for the supplemental repairs. This is why our estimator may have requested your signature in advance to cover any potential additional damage.

Please note that supplemental repairs can affect your vehicle’s projected completion date, as all newly identified damage must be approved and processed before work can continue.

Unibody Repair

Your vehicle was originally engineered to meet strict structural and safety standards. The precise location, alignment, and fit of each structural and body component are critical to proper performance, crash safety, and overall appearance.

During this stage, we measure your vehicle against published factory specifications using advanced diagnostic and measuring equipment. Our goal is to return the structure to within the manufacturer’s prescribed tolerances, ensuring that all body panels, structural components, and safety systems are correctly aligned and functioning as intended.

Structural and Body Repairs

Our repair technicians now begin the structural and body repair phase. Using advanced equipment and manufacturer‑approved repair methods, our team restores the integrity, alignment, and appearance of your vehicle’s body and frame to ensure it meets factory standards.

New Panels Installed

Most collision repairs require some level of cosmetic restoration, and many involve replacing factory panels to ensure proper appearance and structural integrity. During this stage, we carefully test‑fit all replacement parts to confirm they align, fit, and function exactly as they should. Our technicians verify that every panel matches factory specifications so your vehicle looks seamless and performs as intended once the repair is complete.

Corrosion Protection

Modern vehicles are built with advanced corrosion‑protection coatings applied by the manufacturer to prevent rust and ensure long‑term durability. After completing structural and cosmetic repairs, we reapply the appropriate corrosion‑protection materials to match the original factory standards. This step helps preserve your vehicle’s integrity, appearance, and long‑term performance.

Metal Work Done

At this stage of the repair, we begin verifying that all vehicle systems are functioning properly and perform a thorough quality‑control inspection of the work completed. This includes checking critical safety features and electronic systems to ensure everything is operating as designed. For example, we may reset and verify your vehicle’s passive restraint and airbag systems to confirm they meet factory specifications.

Prepped, Primed and Blocked

Our technicians begin the refinishing process by applying a high‑quality primer to the repaired areas. A surface filler is then sprayed on to create a smooth, uniform foundation for paint. Once cured, the area is block‑sanded to achieve a perfectly even surface, ensuring the final finish adheres properly and delivers a flawless, factory‑quality appearance.

Paint Booth

To ensure the highest quality finish, we carefully mask your vehicle to protect all unaffected areas from overspray during the refinishing process. Only the surfaces scheduled for refinishing are left exposed. Once masking is complete, your vehicle is moved into a controlled‑environment paint booth, where our technicians apply the paint materials under optimal temperature, airflow, and filtration conditions for a flawless, factory‑grade finish.

Chemically Cleaned and Tacked

This stage removes any contaminants that may have settled on your vehicle during the repair process. After cleaning the surface, we use a tack cloth to lift and remove any remaining dust particles, ensuring the area is perfectly clean and ready for refinishing.

Refinishing Process

Most modern vehicles use a basecoat/clearcoat refinishing system, while some may require a single‑stage application. Regardless of the system your vehicle needs, each refinishing process involves multiple carefully controlled steps to achieve a durable, high‑quality finish.

We use only premium refinishing products that meet or exceed the original manufacturer’s specifications. All materials are backed by a lifetime paint performance guarantee, ensuring long‑lasting color, gloss, and protection.

Final Inspection/Test Drive

After the refinishing process is complete, our technicians reassemble your vehicle by reinstalling components such as mirrors, moldings, trim pieces, and other hardware. If your repair requires additional services—such as a wheel alignment, air‑conditioning service, or other mechanical adjustments—we perform them at this stage to ensure everything operates correctly.

Before your vehicle is returned to you, it undergoes a thorough interior and exterior cleaning, a road test, and a comprehensive quality‑control inspection. This final review ensures your vehicle looks, drives, and performs exactly as it should.
